Getting Started guide

Getting Started

Spin up environments, invite teammates, and onboard your first partner in under an hour.

1. Create your workspace

  1. Sign into the Datasync console and choose New Workspace.
  2. Select your primary region (we recommend closest to your ERP/EDI systems).
  3. Enable Single Sign-On and SCIM so identity stays in sync with your IdP.

2. Invite your team

  • Navigate to Settings → Access Control.
  • Add operations, IT, and vendor-management teammates with the appropriate RBAC roles.
  • Use our predefined roles (Viewer, Operator, Architect) or create custom roles for fine-grained permissions.

3. Connect source systems

ERP / internal systems

  • Install the Datasync agent or configure API credentials for SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Map canonical objects (orders, invoices, ASNs) using our guided wizard.

Existing transports

  • Import current AS2 certificates or SFTP keys.
  • Assign default retry policies, encryption suites, and archiving windows.

4. Onboard your first partner

  1. Go to Partners → Add Partner and select a template (retail, logistics, healthcare).
  2. Provide contact emails, AS2 IDs/SFTP credentials, and required documents.
  3. Generate a test plan—Datasync automatically builds sample payloads and MDN expectations.
  4. Kick off certification and monitor progress from the Live Visibility panel.

5. Monitor & alert

  • Enable smart alerts for failed deliveries, retries, and SLA breaches.
  • Stream observability data into your SIEM or chat tool with a single webhook subscription.

6. Move to production

  • Click Promote once all test cases pass.
  • Datasync handles certificate rotation, DNS updates, and partner notifications automatically.
